18A- Create a Customer Avatar

This is my avatar. Her name is Kristin. Kristin is young, educated, ambitious. She's very self-aware and aware of her environment. Kristin being so aware has decided that the mainstream media upsets her. She doesn’t think it’s made for people like her. She enjoys watching The Newsroom and probably likes Obama. She’s 19 and feels dissatisfaction with the world as is. She probably feels closer to 40 with her wisdom and work ethic. No children, she’s too busy for that. She drives a mini cooper because she likes to pretend shes European. Her hobbies are pretty milquetoast, she likes to go clubbing, play the piano, and dance.
What me and Kristin have in common is our self-awareness and fear of bias. We both value public information enough to seek out alternatives to the industry. This isn’t a coincidence, however. I think a lot of young people want to stay informed. Most aren’t reading the news now, but that’s because they don’t understand it. The only coincidence is that there’s a demographic of over 20 million people just like me and Kristin who cringe at the establishment media.

ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed reading your description of Kristin. She sounds very strong-willed and like she has a good head on her shoulders. I think creating a business that will allow people to get the pure facts about the news instead of being influenced by one party or the other is something society and especially young people desperately need right now. I think Kristin is definitely the kind of person that would appreciate your business as it will allow her to form her own opinions based on facts. Great job on this assignment!
